Why are zhu zhu pets so popular?

I personally think they are the ugliest toys of all time. They are cheap made little stuffed hamster Animals that move. The people pay like $ 100 for these things. Why should anyone want one?

I think that the reason it is so popular because you do not clean up, there is chaos and are probably good for children with pet allergies hair.I think there is very ugly compared to the real thing and the lower cost of those who are not allergic to clean a hamster there real easily and are very easy to train.I to have had very many and they all live good and healthy life.
